·  How often do the Mermaids meet?

We meet every other week in our chat room and then try to get together for a day or weekend or more once a month.Our chat rooms are on Tuesday's at 7.15pm for one hour.

·  How much does it cost

To join SRS Mermaid it costs an annual subscitpion of £20 from Janary to December.All other trips are costed to break even or give money to buy equipment for Sea Ranger Cadets/Rangerseg Sailing trip to Lympstone is budgeted at £30 to cover food and accommodation and transport.The idea to make these trips accessible to all!

·  What age do I have to be to join?

You can join Sea Ranger Cadets once you are 9 years old. You can join Sea Rangers at 13 but you can be a Cadet until your 14th birthday.

·  What do I need to know to join?

You don't need to know anything - you can learn how to row, canoe and sail. If you can swim it will help but it is not essential. You will learn lots of things about the great outdoors and enjoying 'messing about in boats'.

A Sea Ranger shall do her best: 1. To be honest and trustworthy 2. To be loyal 3. To be a responsible citizen helping where needed 4. To be friendly and considerate 5. To be courteous 6. To protect living things and improve the world around her 7. To respect authority 8. To be cheerful and have courage 9. To use resources wisely 10. To show respect for herself and others through her words and actions
